ABOUT THE CUSTOMER
Editors-Co-Bamboo-Grove-Portraits-004.jpg

Brenda, her husband, their two kids, and their timid dog recently moved homes. They love spending time together, so they wanted to transform the space into a cosy Japandi-style haven. Making it a place to foster togetherness for all.

PROJECT INTRO

For Brenda and her family, their new apartment was a chance to create a fresh and inviting space. They were focused on updating their living room and connecting dining room, aiming for a cohesive look with neutral tones and light colours. While they had some existing decor to incorporate, we assisted them in acquiring new Japandi-style homeware to match their ultra-cosy aesthetic. The result is a harmonious and inviting home that perfectly blends old and new elements, reflecting Brenda’s vision for a warm and stylish family apartment.

LIVING ROOM

Lounging in effortless style

With its bright and big windows, the living room is the heart of Brenda's new home. First things first, they needed ample storage space to display cherished family photos, decor items collected over the years and to hide away everyday clutter. We helped to carefully place artwork on the walls, ensuring each piece found its perfect spot. With plenty of plants to add a touch of nature, the space feels all the more green and vibrant, echoing the views outside. The result is a beautifully organised, inviting living room that perfectly balances functionality and style.

DINING ROOM

Breakfast, lunch & dinner

Stylist's Note Warm and simple, the dining room is designed for family meal times and when friends come together. Echoing the artwork in the living room, Chinese-inspired artwork adorns the main wall, adding depth and a touch of heritage. The arrangement of a bench alongside individual seating fosters a more casual atmosphere, inviting lively conversations and merging traditional aesthetics with practical entertaining needs.

The dining room features a cosy, intimate round table with six chairs, perfect for family time and when guests come around. We added shelving and a sideboard for dining essentials, ensuring everything is within easy reach.

The space feels pared down, allowing the focal point to be mealtime between loved ones. The round table enhances this, making it easy for everyone to converse and enjoy each other's company. The result is a minimal but relaxed dining area that balances practicality with the joy of shared meals.
